The Advantages of Membership in DIG for the Real Estate Investor are Many.
As our membership grows, we will continue to enhance current services and add new services based on input from membership. Remember, we are here for you!
Monthly Membership Meetings
These meetings are the heart and soul of DIG. Main membership meetings are held monthly in the Delaware Valley area. Numerous workshops are offered yearly, and we offer round groups at our monthly meetings where you can move between rotating discussions. We also feature monthly guest speakers. There is always a buy/sell forum or community table where members can put flyers for properties they own or control and wish to sell. There is no other organization in Southeastern Pennsylvania that brings individuals and organizations interested in investing in real estate together with the business community that supports them – and this happens every month! Create your network and support group that will help make you successful!
Education and Seminars
Become a more successful investor by increasing your knowledge of the local market. Our monthly meetings contain two educational sessions plus a market update. We host speakers who will hold sessions on topics such as foreclosure, short sales, lease options, and more. Our local education initiative offers classes in additional topics, such as success planning, education for new investors, flipping basics, wholesaling, rehabbing, managing QuickBooks, creating your own LLC, and more. Visit our calendar of events for upcoming sessions.
DIG members may join one or more subgroups. Subgroups are formed to provide additional networking opportunities for real estate investors that share similar interest. Subgroups are facilitated by DIG members and operate under guidelines from the association.
Members receive many discounts and services from more than 50 local and national businesses including Arcana, The Home Depot, Office Depot and 1-800-GOT-JUNK. These discounts reduce your cost and increase your margins on your investments. Discounts require a DIG membership. Please view Member Benefits to see some of our most popular discounts. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have questions about our discount program prior to joining DIG.
To help our members build their teams and form their networks, DIG offers a vendor membership for businesses that offer products and services that real estate investors need. Vendors are invited to join DIG based on member referral and satisfactory completion of our evaluation process. Many of our vendors offer discounts or special offers to DIG members. About 25 of our vendors are available to our members at the monthly general meetings, making it easy for our members to build their network. DIG vendors represent many crucial sectors of the real estate investment world, including lending, title insurance, property insurance, legal, taxes and accounting, construction, flooring, contracting, financial planning, property management, property wholesaling, property exchange and more. We will continue to add more vendors in the future.
The member newsletter is published monthly and contains tips on investing and property postings, as well as topical articles from experts on subjects important to you such as title, property management, lending, legal, updates on legislation affecting the real estate investor. It is mailed monthly or may be viewed on this website.
DIG will involve the association, its members and the broader real estate investing community in worthwhile community programs or projects that:
- Deliver a valuable service to the community
- Create a “sense of community” within the DIG
- Provide value to our members that participate
- Promote DIG’s positive vision and mission
DIG has supported organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Toys for Tots and Rent Well’s annual Thanksgiving food drive.
Government Affairs Program
DIG is a member of PROA (the Pennsylvania Residential Owner’s Association) who represents the needs of real estate investors in Harrisburg. We want to understand the issues and potential legislation that can affect real estate investing and communicate that information to our members. We plan for our voices to be heard on issues that affect our members.
Members have the opportunity to volunteer in a specific area of interest to a subset of the membership or the entire membership. Volunteer opportunities include helping at the monthly meeting or facilitating a subgroup.
