DIG Member running for Mayor of Reading

Since its inception, the commercial subgroup has been in my opinion a meeting run by the smartest guys in the room. Its success as one of DIG’s best subgroups is by no small measure contributable to Jim McHale who is just one of its several great leaders. But I am specifically pointing out Jim because of his integrity, his energy and his sincerity to do good in this world. I am moved that he would so generously give of his valuable time to endeavor in the thankless task that is running for public office. And of course, if you haven’t heard by now, Jim is running for Mayor of Reading. The reason I am sharing my thoughts on this topic with the answerline is because even though Jim is running as a Republican and I am a Democrat, I was thrilled to make a contribution to his candidacy. We live in an age of the nastiest political rhetoric ever aired. But I believe this fine gentleman will do his best for the city of Reading. So if for those of you who know me – knew I was endorsing him, some of my other fellow Democrats in DIG would be big enough to step up and back a fellow member even though it means crossing party lines. This is my unsolicited endorsement.
